NEW! KIDS FOR THE CURE: UnitedHealthcare 'DASH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE'

All kids want more than anything else is to be able to do all the fun and important things adults do.  Now, when it comes to defending their world against breast cancer, THEY CAN!  As the name says, the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate and UnitedHealthcare created the Dash to give kids a special opportunity to take pride in making a difference.

It's an opportunity for adults, too - offering you a unique way to reinforce to your children that they don't need to ever be afraid of breast cancer because they are never alone in the fight.

  • Open to all children ages 3-12 who are registered for the Race; no additional fee
  • At least one adult must be registered for the Race and attend the Dash with his/her child(ren)
  • Location: Von Colln Park and Playground (23rd & Benjamin Franklin Parkway)
  • Start time: 10:00 AM, after the main Race event
  • Separate heats, based on age group
  • At the Dash: music and other kid-friendly entertainment
  • Everyone's a winner!*  All participants will receive a commemorative medal, special Dash/Race t-shirt, treats from Dietz & Watson and Wawa, and other fun surprises.

Register now - Registration is $15 for children 12 and under, and includes a Youth 6-8 or Youth 14-16 t-shirt for the first 1,800 entries.  There is a $1.75 credit card fee.

*Medals will be handed out at the Dash while supplies last; those not receiving a medal at the event will receive theirs by mail.
